GUNOLD convinced fashion designers at ModAmont Show

Posted on 16 November 2012 by PR-Gateway

The renowned company GUNOLD, GmbH based in Germany, made its successful debut at the fall edition of the ModAmont fashion show in Paris. “We had a lot of informative and enlightening conversations. Predominantly fashion designers but also buyers gathered information about our comprehensive range of embroidery supplies. In addition, we were able to answer a lot of detailed technical questions about embroidery with surprisingly easy to follow solutions”, Stephan Gunold, responsible for Marketing, is happy to mention.

GUNOLD convinced fashion designers at ModAmont Show
The brand-new sample design books from Gunold are a success

And the brand-new sample design books were as much a success as Gunold had hoped. The trade show visitors showed great interest in those exceptionally creative embroidery ideas. Designers highly appreciated that every page of these creative inspiration books can be emailed as a PDF document upon special request and free of charge. Again and again people were surprised by the easy to follow embroidery techniques and solutions, even for the most intricate and elaborate looking designs – showing GUNOLD”s extraordinary competence, which they are especially proud of and for which they are highly recognized in the embroidery industry. All things considered, Gunold”s debut in Paris showed great promise and therefore Gunold is definitely planning to participate at the 2013 edition of the ModAmont show.

Product Highlights at a Glance: Thermoseal, Filaine, Solar, Glowy

Now GUNOLD has the right product for embroideries on waterproof or water-repellent fabrics. Just apply THERMOSEAL to the back of your embroidery using a heat press and the design becomes completely waterproof. Water and moisture will not penetrate the fabric through the tiny embroidery needle punctures. Rain gear, outdoor jackets, functional clothing can be embroidered and everybody stays dry- use on work clothes e.g. for road construction, gardening and for all outdoor jobs.

The wool-like embroidery thread FILAINE is now available in 21 brand new, trendy colors, giving a fresh creative impetus to summer fashion and a cozy feeling to winter clothes. The new fashion colors, ranging from earth tone/berry colors to clean/cold colors perfectly complement the already existing 108 different FILAINE colors. And for that extraordinary effect of your embroidery design, just combine the wool-like FILAINE with the glossy viscose embroidery thread SULKY or with the silk embroidery thread SILK. FILAINE, made of 100% acrylic, has a fine woolen structure nevertheless it is extremely robust and particularly convincing through high tear and rub resistance thus it is even recommended for embroideries on jeans. Not to forget, it is ideal for precious embroideries on woolens or knits, vintage style patterns for traditional costumes or colorful ethnic clothes. FILAINE is perfect for rustic embroideries with that typical needlework look. This special thread is certified according to Oeko Tex Standard 100, class 1, the highest category and is available on Miniking cones of 1000 m each.

The specialty embroidery thread SOLAR is white, but any ultraviolet light (sunlight activated) makes this thread quickly morph into a colorful embroidery art piece, in shades of blue, red, yellow, orange, fuchsia, purle or green. SOLAR is made of 100% polyester and is available on Miniking cones of 1,000m each.

With the luminous specialty embroidery thread GLOWY, natural and artificial light is stored in the special glow-in-the-dark polyester threads and later released in the dark. The long-lasting glow is ideal for embroidery logos and embroidery letterings on garments and products used in security service industries allowing for clear visibility at night, even without being illuminated-an advantage to other reflecting materials. GLOWY is made of 100% polyester and is available in 7 different pastel shades which glow whitish in the dark. This thread is available on Miniking cones of 1.000 m each.

New Products for Embroidery: All new products from Gunold, GmbH this spring

Posted on 07 May 2012 by PR-Gateway

Playing a key role in the embroidery industry, Gunold offers a wide range of products for all your embroidery needs such as upper threads, bobbin threads, stabilisers and many more specialty products. The company”s highest priority has always been to increase productivity as well as creativity in the embroidery industry. This spring, Gunold introduces numerous, worthwhile product improvements to facilitate the work for every embroiderer and to achieve high-quality embroidery results.

New Products for Embroidery: All new products from Gunold, GmbH this spring
Product sample STEP

The structured fabric STEP that looks remarkably identical to lock-stitch embroidery and is therefore ideal for emblems has now a lot more stability. Instead of the iron-on coating, it is now finished with a strong, durable and fusible nonwoven on the back.
Therefore emblems have not only more stability but processing this material gets a lot easier for the embroiderer. Best results can be achieved with laser cut appliqué patches made of STEP as the laser process welds together the cut edges and prevents the appliqué from fraying. STEP is available in ten popular colours.

The new and improved stitch foil REFLECTRA with increased reflection makes its debut in spring as well. Embroidering appliqués with this foil is made easy and once REFLECTRA has been embroidered just use a hot press or iron to fix it permanently. The thin and flexible polyurethane foil is easy to work with and is available in solid colors and multicolored. The reflective characteristics transform your garment into an eye-catcher and make it visible 24 hours a day- during daylight because of the bright colors, at night because light is reflected when illuminated!

The slogan “The Price is Right” is just perfect to describe the new bobbin thread BOBBY MAXI. Believe it or not but this bobbin thread is available on 15,000m cones. Most important, the performance on the machine is trouble-free! BOBBY MAXI is available in white, weight 100 and the price is unbeatable!

TV TecStyle Visions 2012: “As always, we were very pleased with the trade show”

Posted on 21 February 2012 by PR-Gateway

Packed house at the booth of GUNOLD, GmbH on all three days of the show! On all three days of the TV TecStyle Visions 2012 tradeshow, the booth of GUNOLD, GmbH Stockstadt, was extremely crowded. Leaving all four sides open, the booth C74 in hall 4, appeared to be very inviting and encouraged customers to visit.

TV TecStyle Visions 2012:
View of Gunold?s booth at TV TecStyle Visions 2012, Stuttgart Picture: Roller-Assfalg

Especially the three demo areas- one for embroidery threads, one for embroidery backings and foils and one for digitizing (demonstrated by Constitch) as well as the embroidery workshop, appealed to a lot of tradeshow visitors. “It has become apparent, that the TecStyle Visions tradeshow is the most important show for our sales areas Germany, Austria and Switzerland”, explains Stephan Gunold, responsible for marketing at GUNOLD. Almost all of the current customers visited the booth and the company was able to win new customers as well. “As always, we were very pleased with this trade show”
As expected, particular attention was paid to the new products such as the premium embroidery thread POLY 60, made of 100% polyester. It is now available in 27 new additional colours, offering a choice of 54 different colours altogether. This thread is ideal for monograms, small scripts and small intricate details. A lot of interest sparked the self-adhesive embroidery backing now just being called FILMOPLAST which is available in black and in white as well as THERMOFIX, innovative adhesive fibres for permanent bonding. With this new material, the ironing-on of emblems and patches is a breeze. New coreless pre-wound bobbin thread BOBBY FIL 120L attracted a lot of attention as well. This pre-wound bobbin has no sides and no core.
Customer feedback on all the new products has been very positive. In addition, trade show visitors trusted to find answers from GUNOLD to various technical questions concerning the realization of embroidery designs. “Word gets around, that we pride ourselves on being experienced problem solvers for everything concerning embroidery”, Stephan Gunold is happy to explain. ” If the use or application of a product is not self-explanatory, our expert advice and expertise is especially welcome. Once more this turned out to be true at the trade show in Stuttgart.” Accordingly live demonstrations at the embroidery machine and at the ironing press were well received. Here you could find out how to embroider patches and ribbons (Velcro straps, lanyards) and how to permanently bond patches using Thermofix.
The video training series with topics like “Embroidering of Patches” and “Embroidering of Ribbons” attracted great interest as well. One trade show visitor spontaneously remarked: Now I can watch the process again in case I forget all the different steps. That is exactly what GUNOLD intended: all videos are available at www.gunold.de (Button Video Training Series) or on YouTube. In addition, if customers want to learn more about embroidery techniques and know-how the new seminar and workshop program 2012 offers top notch embroidery training. Currently in its 10th year, once again a new program is scheduled with topics like “Solutions for Your Embroidery Problems”, “Embroidery Supplies-The Basics”, “Digitizing-The Basics” and “Digitizing In Practice”.

Workshops artistic nude and lingerie photography, in Tuscany

Posted on 15 February 2012 by PR-Gateway

Professional photographer Daniel Bauer hosts interactive art nude and lingerie workshops in Tuscany, in May 2012. With days of exchange of know-how, group activities, three models to photograph and an “all inclusive” stay in the Italian paradise.

Workshops artistic nude and lingerie photography, in Tuscany
photo workshops May 2012

Barcelona, February 2012. For those interested in artistic nude and lingerie photography, and also for professionals, Swiss photographer Daniel Bauer has created three different types of photography workshops, suitable for all skill levels and about the topics in great demand: nude and lingerie. This time with Yana Bauer as co-organizer and main model. With shootings on most beautiful locations in Tuscany and with group activities to create a meeting place for lovers of art photography.

The idea of Interactive Workshops arose from his knowledge of conventional workshops offered continuously, in which the participants just click their camera for 4 or 5 hours without really learning anything about techniques, light and composition. The workshops end up beeing just a simple shooting with some naked girls without any variety in expression or pose and without the possibility that participants can achieve good results or get some new know-how.

According to bis experience, Bauer has created three workshops in which the participants can learn to form a clear basis for taking their photos, in idyllic locations of Tuscany, with three beautiful models prepared exclusively for achieving the wanted shots and to meet the objectives of the workshops. This time he also offers a stay in a quiet and appropriate place for the participants to empathize with photography, art and nature with activities to share the passion for photography and enjoy the pleasures of this part of Italy.

In order to take advantage of the ideal temperatures in spring to take photos outdoors and not to overstress the time that participants may have in the month of May, for each workshop it”s only necessary to have three nights with two days of intensive photography and various activities. In a place with easy access from major airports in Italy. The first workshop is aimed to lingerie photography, the second to artistic nude, also suitable for amateurs, and the third workshop addresses to adcanced and profesional photographers who want to let flow their artistic, creative skills in nude and lingerie photography and during a night shooting.

Daniel Bauer already opens the registration to the workshops of May 2012 so that participants can reserve the dates on their agendas and encourage themselves to live this experience. For more information see < a href="http://www.daniel-bauer.com/workshop/workshops_en.html" title="Art nude and lingerie workshops">Comments Off

GUNOLD”s fresh new look at TV TecStyle Visions – Hall 4 Booth C74

Gunold 2012: new advertising slogan ?The Guarantee for Success?

True to the motto ” the most suitable product for each and every embroidery application, ” GUNOLD will present numerous new product innovations, introduce the new seminar program 2012 and is going to promote its new advertising slogan “The Guarantee for Success” at the 7th TV TecStyle Visions 2012. Stephan Gunold states: “Once again we are going to demonstrate the advantages of high quality embroidery products.”
At Gunold”s booth C74, hall 4, trade visitors will experience on-site, how easy it is to work with quality products in order to achieve perfect embroideries. In addition to Gunold”s embroidery workshop, there will be three different demo areas: one for embroidery threads, one for embroidery backings and foils and one for digitizing (demonstrated by Constitch). Valuable application tips will be offered to all visitors. Furthermore, interesting applications for Thermofix, Solvy Film 80 and Filmoplast will be demonstrated at the embroidery workshop. Expert embroidery digitizing instructor Massimo Baezzato from Constitch is going to be present and he will introduce the new software version of DRAWings 6, now available with new features like digitizing for designs with Rhinestones. The schedule for the new “Advanced Digitizing Seminars for Wings Customers” will be announced as well. And last but not least, an easy to understand video training series with topics like “Embroidering on Terrycloth”, Embroidering of Patches” and “Embroidering with Self-Adhesive Backings- made easy” complete the embroidering experience at the booth. According to GUNOLD”s new slogan “The Guarantee for Success”, a visit at their booth at the TecStyle Visions, from 2 to 4 February 2012 in Stuttgart, is definitely worth your while. For all who unfortunately cannot make it to the show, the new training video series is also available at www.gunold.de (button Video Training series) or on YouTube.
Embroidery Thread News at TecStyle Visions 2012
New colours available for premium polyester embroidery thread Poly 60. POLY 60 made of 100% polyester is ideal for monograms, small scripts and small intricate details. Poly is now available in 27 new colours, offering a choice of 54 different colours altogether. The new colours follow in particular the current trend of promotion wear. Embroideries with tiny details or small scripts of 3mm and up will no longer pose a problem if embroidered with POLY 60. Furthermore, this polyester embroidery thread made of premium quality EU polyester is colourfast to chlorine and high water temperatures of up to 95 degrees Celsius do not compromise its integrity. And since this thread is incredibly tear resistant as resistant to abrasion, it retains its vibrancy even when subjected to tough industrial conditions
POLY 60 is certified according to Öko-Tex Standard 100, class 1, the highest category and is available on Miniking cones of 1500 m each.

The new FILMOPLAST. GUNOLD”s range of different nonwovens STIFFY and TEXTI includes 30 different backings- ideal stabilising solutions for every embroidery application. Available are cut-away or tear-away stabilizers, backings with iron-on coatings and even a self-adhesive non-woven which is called FILMOPLAST. It is now available in one strength only – in black and in white. It is offered in popular roll widths of 50 cm, 65 cm, 85 cm and 100cm-ideal for embroidery hoops, 25m on each roll.
New coreless pre-wound bobbin thread BOBBY FIL 120L. The pre-wound bobbin has no sides and no core. A fine and smooth yet tear-resistant bobbin thread is indispensable for the processing and the special impact of embroideries. BOBBY is the ideal complement for high-quality upper threads. This under thread is made of polyester and is available in black and white. BOBBY FIL 120L guarantees an even thread delivery and identical as well as significantly greater run length for every single bobbin. Not to forget the advantage during the production process: The automatic bobbin thread sensor works a lot better if the bobbin does not have any sides. But if a bobbin thread on cones is preferred, Gunold has the right answer for this as well. BOBBY SYN complements the wide range of bobbin threads for each and every preference.
THERMOFIX – new adhesive fibres for permanent bonding With this new material the ironing-on of emblems and patches is a breeze. By using THERMOFIX, it is easy and fast to affix embroidery designs onto jackets, shirts and fabrics. Permanently – even after frequent washings! A great advantage and desired by a lot of customers: THERMOFIX has a similar texture as nonwovens; therefore the material stays flat while cutting. Arranging of appliqués is a lot easier this way. Crimping and coiling up which happens quite often when using adhesive films, are a thing of the past. Furthermore, the silicon paper does not have to be cut out together with the adhesive fibres; instead it is just placed separately on top while ironing. Best of all, THERMOFIX is reasonably priced and is applied by a regular household iron or heat press.
New Seminar Program 2012 in Salzburg and Stockstadt The sophisticated and frequently updated seminar program is a well accepted and popular tool for continuing education and employee training. Currently in its 10th year, once again a new program is offered for the trade show with topics like “Solutions For Your Embroidery Problems”, “Embroidery Supplies – The Basics”, “Digitizing – The Basics” and “Digitizing In Practice”. www.gunold.de

Now we can offer the desired and trendy wide range of colours while maintaining our high-quality and colour fastness.” POLY 60, made of 100% polyester, is ideal for monograms, small scripts and fine, intricate details. FILAINE is made of acrylic and has this unique wool-like feel to it. The size 12 thread convinces even at a high stitch speed. Now the new wide range of colours allows embroiderers to use these threads in a variety of different applications. Whereas Poly 60 is mainly the choice for promotion wear, the new colours of FILAINE follow the current trend of fashion wear. “It goes without saying that our range of colours is well-balanced, making sure that fashion designers as well as advertising professionals will find their desired, special colour shades.
Embroidery Thread with a Wool-like Feeling
FILAINE is characterized by its needlework look and wool-like appearance yet it is extremely robust during processing and particularly convincing through high tear and rub resistance. It is even recommended for embroidering on jeans. Whether precious embroideries on woollens or knits, vintage-style patterns for traditional costumes, or colourful ethnic clothes, FILAINE is the ideal choice for rustic embroideries with that typical needlework look. And given that currently rough-textured fabrics come into fashion, the new 18 additional colours of FILAINE have been added just at the right time.
For Small, Intricate Designs
Embroideries with tiny details or small scripts of 3mm and up will no longer pose a problem at all if embroidered with POLY 60. During the production process a special manufacturing technique is being applied, ensuring the exact thread weight. Afterwards the thread is thermally set which influences elongation and shrinkage in order to achieve optimum properties for an embroidery thread. Subsequently the embroidery will not be distorted, even when heavy laundering is required. This polyester embroidery thread which is made of premium EU polyester is colourfast to chlorine. Furthermore, high water temperatures of up to 95 degrees Celsius do not compromise its integrity. Since this thread is incredibly tear resistant as well as resistant to abrasion, it retains its vibrancy even when subjected to tough industrial conditions. The new 27 additional colours of POLY 60 make it easier to find the right choice for garments that are subject to routine heavy usage.
FILAINE and POLY 60 are both certified according to the Öko-Tex Standard 100, class 1, the highest category, and are therefore environmentally safe and free of harmful substances. FILAINE is available on Mini-king cones of 1000 m each, POLY 60 on Mini-king cones of 1500 m each. Further information at www.gunold.de
